Event Notes
Please note due to a conflict at the venue start time will be at 9:00am! Toughest Competitor Alive (TCA) consists of 8 events in a single day, you will get just enough rest before you move on to the next event. The 2011 events consist of; 2 Mile Run, Shot Put, 100M sprint, 100M swim, Bench Press max weight, rope climb (see new rules on use of legs) , Pull-ups, Obstacle course. More event info will be posted as the events become finalized. To view a video highlighting the TCA event click here! *New rules for rope climb- Women are allowed to use their legs for the climb. Men will be allowed to use legs if: They announce prior to starting the climb they might need to use legs, they begin from seated position and must attempt without use of legs. Once started legs can not touch ground, to use legs competitor must come to complete stop (no upward momentum is possible without legs) competitor will then be allowed to use their legs to finish the climb. Once legs are used a 2 second penalty will be added to time. *New Scoring- All competitors will receive points for completing each event. For example if there are 5 competitors in an age group 1st place will receive 5 points, 2nd place will receive 4 points, 3rd place will receive 3 points all the way down to 5th place. If there are 9 competitors in an age group 1st place will receive 9 points Ect. If the competitor does not complete and event they will not receive any points. For the high overall event in case of a tie the first tie breaker will be the fastest obstacle course time. Individual competitors can also compete in the team event, just find a team mate and pre select your 4 events, then complete the registration process prior to the start of the event. Please Note: All competitors are invited to Casey' Bistro and Pub for an after party event. Competitors will receive 20% off the regular menu as well as happy hour prices at the bar. Casey's is located at 7301 E. 29th Ave. Denver CO. All competitors must fill out entry form, sign waivers and pay fees prior to start of competition. Competitors are required to come by the host hotel anytime prior to the start of their event, they will need department ID to verify eligibility and obtain their participation pass.
