Event Notes

The 2010 Cycling Event has been changed from a Team Time Trial to Individual time Trial, due to the location of the 2010 Games.

  1. Off-Site Registration will be available for competitors at the Start Line.
  2. We are working on arangements to transport bikes and riders to the start line, more details to follow.

The competitors will depart the start line in Copper Mountain Resort and finish prior to entering the “tunnel” atop Vail Pass on Recreation Trail. For a course map click on  the link - http://www.mapmyride.com/view_route?r=152126676420035454

Start can be neutral assisted or unassisted, and timer begins @ “GO”….Time stops when the riders front wheel crosses the finish line.

First rider will start @ 10:00 am, and riders will be sent in order, every 4 minutes.

Once all riders have completed the course, they will ride their bikes back down the recreation trail to start line, for awards ceremony. Once the awards ceremony is complete, a non-competitive “group ride” will begin at Copper Mountain travel east through Frisco, Dillon, Keystone, Swan River Road, eventually ending back at Host Hotel. This “group ride” is optional, and offered as a social type event for competitors to ride together, network, etc. For a map of the group ride click on the provided link: http://www.mapmyride.com/view_route?r=305126676498645189

All competitors must fill out entry form, sign waivers and pay fees prior to start of competition. Competitors are required to provide a department ID to verify eligibility and obtain your participation pass at the start line or the Host Hotel.
